It is time for you to start thinking about what classes you want to take in the 2017-2018 school year! Below you will find a Curriculum Guide and a Course Selection worksheet for you to review and mark which classes you would like to take. We ask that you go over this information with your parents/guardians and discuss your path to graduation and your course choices.
The Curriculum Guide for 2017-2018 is a catalog outlines the courses offered in each department as well as some policies and pathways to graduation. The Course Selection Worksheet lists core courses on the front and electives on the backside (second page). We ask all students to choose up to four electives and then rank them in order of the most interest to them. If you want a paper version of either document, please stop in to the guidance office and ask for one.
You will be scheduled with Mrs. Smith, your guidance counselor, in the order of your grade level; juniors will be first, sophomores and down the line. You will receive an invite via email well in advance of your appointment which will allow you time to prepare. Parents are always invited to attend your meeting in person or by phone conference. Parents can request an appointment by calling Mrs. Chase, the Guidance secretary at ext. 4334.
Again, please see the attachment for a list of courses we hope to offer next year. Students who come to their meeting prepared with notes will be rewarded! Please understand that due to minimum enrollment requirements and teacher availability, there is a possibility that some courses listed may not be offered. We will do all we can to ensure all students are on the graduation path they have chosen.
