Traffic Light   Did you know that students can take their learner permit test online at Pine Valley?


      Students need to see Mr. Chase to pick up a packet and a test booklet.  The packet contains everything that needs to be filled out for the Department of Motor Vehicles.  Once they are ready for the test, they need to contact Mr. Chase to schedule a day.

  Students will receive a computer print-out after taking the test.  If they passed, this printout needs to go with the packet to the Department of Motor Vehicles.  Permit fees are paid directly to the Department of Motor Vehicles.  If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Chase at 988-3276 ext. 4472.

Attention Students in Grades 9-12 

  Did you know that acceptance in the Free/Reduced Lunch Pogram not only helps the school, but it can also help your in other ways. 
 
  Many colleges grant waivers for college application fees based on a student's participation in the free/rreduced lunch program.

  Almost all colleges rrequire students to take either the SAT or ACT test.  These tests, along with the PSAT, have a fee connected to them.  Waivers for these tests can also be granted to students in the free/rreduced lunch program.

  Applications for the free/reduced llunch program can be otbained from teh Business Office, the Elementary Office or the High School Office.  You may apply at anytime during the school year. 
 

Yearbooks Are On Sale

  Yearbooks are officially on sale!!  The Pine Knot 2011 was a TOTAL sellout!  You can give a yearbook as a gift for someone you care about or get one to remember how awesome the 2011-12 school year was.  They will be coming in the spring, but buy now before there are none left!!  

  The presale cost is $31 until December 22nd.  After that, the cost will be $36.  If you pay the full $32 amount now, you will save $4.  You can also reserve a yearbook by paying a $10 deposit.

Please pay Mrs. Younbberg in the junior/senior high school office.  If paying by check, make it payable to Pine Valley Yearbook.
 

Homework   After School Help

  Teachers are available on Mondays through Thursdays after school until 4:00 PM to provide students with academic assistance.  Academic bus runs are available to transport students home at that time.  Please contact your child's teacher or building principal if you wish to have your child stay.
