  • District Voters Pass Pine Valley's Proposed Capital Improvement Project

On Tuesday, November 12, 2019, Pine Valley Central School District voters approved the District's proposed Capital Improvement Project. 191 votes were cast with 146 yes and 45 no.

"Thank you to everyone who voted," says Interim Superintendent Jame Przepasniak. "We know how much pride this community has in our school district and appreciate the affirmative vote dedicated to improving the educational opportunities available to our children, families, staff and community."

The project totals $9,887,212 in renovations, repair and District-wide improvements. Much of it includes cost-saving energy upgrades, improvements to instructional spaces, and state-mandated health and safety requirements. With this approval, the project will have no additional tax impact as it will be funded by a combination of state aid and the District's capital reserves.

Following final approval from the State Education Department, work on the project is expected to begin in the Summer of 2021 with anticipated completion in the Fall of 2022.

Community support of this initiative is much appreciated!
