    K-2 Jog-Walk        K-2 Jog-Walk

    The Pine Valley Health and Wellness committee is excited to announce that we will be starting a morning jog/run program here at our elementary school.  The program is designed to get students off the school bus and into the school gym participating in daily exercise from 7:40-7:55am 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday’s).

    Our program begins the 2nd full week of school and continues until the end of the school year. Our program is designed for students in Kindergarten through 6th grades. Jogging/walking will take place in the school gymnasium.
        -Students arriving by bus should enter/exit using the main entrance.
        -Students being dropped off in the morning should enter/exit through the side door entrance. 
        -Students that eat breakfast daily, MUST eat first and then can come to the gym for Jog/Walk

    To accommodate all students who are interested in this program, we operate on a rotating schedule (see calendar below or to the left under Morning Jog/Walk Tab). Grade levels are grouped together for space and safety reasons: 5th and 6th graders, 3rd and 4th graders, and K-2nd grades.  

    Students who receive breakfast in the morning will be expected to eat breakfast first and then report to the gymnasium if they wish to participate in the program. Students coming from breakfast will then leave their bags in the side entrance hallway. 

             All students who are participating are expected to wear gym shoes.  
             Students are also expected to follow all rules discussed in PE classes.
