We have been having a lot of fun figuring out the notes on the staff, the higher up they are on the staff, the higher the sound.  We've been using a lot of simple songs to demonstrate this nad the students are having a lot of fun mastering not only where they go on the written page, but how to show the hand gestures to accompany them.
