A Little About MeWelcome! I have been a District resident for the past 32 years. My husband has spent his life here in Cherry Creek; growing up on a dairy farm and graduating from Pine Valley. We have been blessed with three grown children and three grandbabies. We also have three furbabies. This is my 27th year working at Pine Valley Elementary. During that time, I have had the pleasure of working with some amazing students and their families! Some of my most memorable experiences have been running into former students locally and hearing about their achievements/success in life. My husband and I love traveling, especially to the ocean (Emerald Isle, NC). It has become our home away from home a few times a year. Please feel free to contact me with any questions/concerns or if I can assist you in any manner!Barbara Nelson M.S., CCC-SLP/LNYS Licensed Speech/Language PathologistPine Valley Elementary School (Grades K-6)(716) 988-3291 ext. 3404bnelson@pval.org"Educating the mind without educating the heart,is no education at all."~aristotleWhat is a Speech Pathologist?Recommended Speech and Language Apps and Software* Super Duper Publication apps* Mobile Education apps (e.g., iSentence Builder)* My Play Home (Stores, Hospital, School)* Articulation Station* ArtikPix Full* Hear Builder Series for Foundational Literacy & Auditory Processing (Online subscription or CD format)Due to the vast amount of apps being created regularly, you may find it helpful to search apps (free and for purchase) under the Speech and Language domains of:
