Pearson Data Breach Information

In or around November 2018, an incident involving the unauthorized access of Personally Identifiable Information from the AIMSweb 1.0 system, which is a platform provided by Pearson Clinical Assessment (Pearson) has occured. 

Pine Valley Central School District has utilized AIMSweb 1.0 in the past, but the district no longer uses AIMSweb services.

At this time, it is our understanding that there is no evidence that the information has been misued. Letters explaining the incident and steps you can take to protect your data are being sent via mail.

Please know that the Pine Valley Central School District is committed to protecting and securing educational data. Our team has extensive training in data security and privacy, and our systems have many controls in place to protect students' educational records.
