Students in Miss. Sengbusch’s Studio in Art class created crumpled brown paper bag observational drawings. Students prepared for this project by completing 2 separate practicing drawings on a smaller scale. They were given a brown paper bag to draw, but the task was to draw it crumpled. This not only reinforced observing objects in front of them but an added challenge to now add in creases instead of a smooth surface. Students repeated the same steps for their final project, however they needed to scale up their brown paper bag to cover the majority of their final paper and use the problem solving skills from their first two drawings.
