TAB Art Projects at Pine Valley

TAB in Art Class

Art class is a valuable way for students to learn how to express themselves in unique ways (Singh, 2019) to increase their creativity and have learning benefits across the curriculum. (Nikoltsos, 2000).

Elementary Art Teacher, Mrs. Tracy Fox, has been using a program called, TAB (Teaching for Artistic Behavior) to help develop students’ artistic skill and creativity.  This program is designed to give students an active role in creating their art works by providing choices and then support, to produce a work of art that is uniquely theirs.   Check out these Pine Valley students in 6th and 2nd grade pursuing their artistic interests.   Mrs. Fox provides her wealth of artistic knowledge as the class progresses.  Can’t wait to see the final projects!
