Unified Sports brings together students with and without disabilities, both visible and invisible, to compete cooperatively in varsity-level athletics. It is inspired by a simple principle: 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙖 𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙘𝙠 𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙝 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜.

Athletes are paired with peer coaches to compete, share strategies, and support one another. Having a sport in common is just one more way that misconceptions and false ideas are swept away.

Pine Valley CSD has offered Unified sports for four years: Unified Bocce in the fall, Unified Bowling in the winter, and Unified Basketball in the spring.
