District Art Show set Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 5-7 p.m.

The District Art Show is scheduled Tuesday, May 20, 2025, between 5-7 p.m. at Pine Valley Jr./Sr. High School featuring the artwork of students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Best in show artwork will be labeled with a ribbon. Best in show students will also receive a prize.

New this year: “Teachers/Staff from the Valley Art Exhibit” will have artwork by teachers and staff on display.

In addition, there will be a Gummy Bear Guessing contest with the winner to be pulled and announced at the end of the art show. There will be a $1 bake sale fundraiser.

The art show is facilitated by art teachers Taylor MacCallum (Richter) at the elementary level and Caitlin Taft (Sengbusch) at the middle school/high school level.

"I couldn’t be prouder of our elementary students! This year, they’ve put in so much effort, learning new skills, exploring different techniques, and creating truly incredible artwork," says elementary art teacher Mrs. MacCallum. "Our art room has been bursting with creativity, joy, and plenty of ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs.’ Teaching these young artists is an absolute privilege, and I’m constantly amazed by their talent and dedication. Showcasing their artwork is a big moment for them, and I hope everyone comes out to cheer them on and recognize their hard work. They deserve to be celebrated!"

“The middle and high school art students have put in a lot of hard work this year to create artwork they are proud of," says art teacher Mrs. Taft. "The Art Department hopes for a huge turnout of family, friends, and community members to come out and support our art students. We have had a busy year with Pine Valley being represented in various Art Exhibitions throughout WNY, but our District Art Show showcases all our students, which is my favorite exhibition! I continue to be impressed and inspired by all my students. They deserve all the recognition.”
