Updated Mask Guidance

On Monday, June 7, 2021 Governor Cuomo made an announcement that school districts are now permitted to relax mask wearing requirements while students and staff are outdoors during the school day.  The mask wearing requirement inside of school buildings and on school buses remains in place.

Effective immediately, and until further guidance is received, students and staff will not be required to wear a mask while outdoors for recess, physical education class or during outdoor classroom instruction.  No student or staff member may be prevented from wearing an acceptable face mask voluntarily on school grounds.   All other COVID-19 protocols, including social distancing, will remain in place. If you would like your child to continue to wear a mask when outside, please contact your child’s teacher.
