Goals, Mission, and Vision Statement
MISSION:
Pine Valley CSD uses a community-centered approach to invest in our students, families, and team as we develop skill sets in all students so they believe they matter, can be successful in life, and make a positive impact on the community and world.
VISION:
To provide an education that grows tomorrow’s leaders who are fully aware of and able to act upon any and all opportunities.
DISTRICT GOALS:
Student Achievement/College and Career Ready
Support and encourage the development of, and exposure to, a college and career-minded education for all students, providing a scaffolded curriculum.

Pine Valley Central School District
Board Of Education Candidate Information
BOARD OF EDUCATION CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be able to read and write.
2. Must be a qualified voter for the District. A qualified voter must be a citizen of the United States and at least 18 years of age.
3. Must be a resident of the district for a continuous and uninterrupted period of at least one year immediately before the election. But need not be a taxpayer.
BOARD OF EDUCATION CANDIDATE RESTRICTIONS:
1. May not reside with another member of the same school board as a member of the same family.
2. Must not simultaneously hold an incompatible public office.
3. Must not be an employee of the district, receiving a paycheck from Pine Valley.
4. Must not have been removed from a school district office within the preceding year.
5. A person convicted of a felony in New York State is ineligible to seek a seat on the Board of Education if the maximum sentence to which they could have been sentenced has not expired or if they have not been discharged from parole.
Prospective school board members may pick up a nomination packet at the Pine Valley Elementary School Administrative Offices between 8 am and 4 pm, Monday through Friday, starting in March. To make an appointment to pick up a packet, please call District Clerk Kristie Ling at 716-988-3293 ext. 3010 or email kling@pval.org.
Completed forms, including a petition with at least 25 duly qualified voter signatures, must be returned to the District Office no later than 5 pm on the 30th day prior to the vote. Please reference the candidate packet for all submission deadlines.
