A message from the Superintendent...
Hello to the Pine Valley community!
Thank you for the warm welcome as I join Pine Valley Central School District as the new Superintendent of Schools mid-way through the 2023-2024 academic year. I’m excited for the opportunity to serve our Panther families and lead our tight-knit, student-centered district.
Ensuring all students at Pine Valley CSD have the best educational experience possible in a safe and secure environment is my top priority. As superintendent, I will be transparent in my leadership. I believe in clear, concise, and consistent communication. I will collaborate with our Board of Education, staff, students and community to develop a shared mission and vision for our district. I am passionate about providing opportunities for students to reach their maximum potential. I will evaluate our current instructional programs and provide opportunities for staff professional development while staying focused on our fiscal responsibility to taxpayers.
Leading Pine Valley CSD with great care and a focus on inclusivity will foster a culture where all partners feel involved in the decision-making process. I am not afraid to ask for feedback and believe it is necessary to make the best decisions.
I am so appreciative for this opportunity to listen, learn and grow with our Panthers. Thank you to all the committees, administrators, Board of Education members, family members, students, and employees for entrusting me to guide and care for Pine Valley CSD.
All district residents are invited to participate in public events on our campus -- performances, meetings, fundraisers, initiatives, and more – so we can help our students and community grow together. We encourage you to keep up-to-date by visiting this website and following us on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and X (formerly known as Twitter) by searching for @PVCSPanther.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me via e-mail at sduclon@pval.org or by phone at 716-988-3291, ext. 3010. Keeping the lines of communication open is a priority; your feedback is valuable and appreciated.
Warmly,
Shanda DuClon,
Superintendent of Schools
