A little about me....

I've been at Pine Valley since 1999- when I started subbing while in college.  I was subbing pretty regularly and also had some long-term sub positions.  I was hired to teach full-time in 2006 for a Reading First Literacy Specialist position.  I worked in this position for two years, transferring to a third grade classroom.  I taught third grade from 2006 to 2020. Then, in 2020, I moved up to 4th grade for two years.  Although my Master's Degree is in Literacy, I have always had a love for math.  When I started college, I majored in math and also tutored in algebra part-time.  So here I am on a new journey as an instructional coach. My position is a TOSA, which means Teacher on Special Assignment.  It is a lateral move, not administrative, nor a change in contract.  I think of this position as a way to be of service to my fellow teachers.  What can I do to help them?
