I grew up in Leon with my parents and three older siblings. After graduating from Pine Valley in 2014, I attended St. Bonaventure University and majored in Elementary/ Special Education with a concentration in English Language Arts. While at St. Bonaventure, I completed over 1,000 hours in the field working with other professionals and was sworn into both Kappa Delta Pi (honor society for education) and Sigma Tau Delta (honor society for English). After Bonaventure, I continued my studies in Literacy at SUNY Fredonia and obtained my M.S.E.D in Literacy Birth to Twelfth Grade. 

Having grown up in the district and being a product of Pine Valley's education, I am beyond proud to be back where my dream started. I started working as a substitute teacher while in college. I completed field hours and worked with a handful of students during an internship at PV. In 2020, I was offered a position as a resource room/ consultant teacher and pushed into classrooms. In 2021, I moved to third grade and this will be my fourth year teaching third! 

My husband's name is Kevin, and our daughter is named Averie. We live in Silver Creek with our two dogs, Goose and Maverick.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outdoors, camping, kayaking, and cooking/baking. 

I'm looking forward to another great year!
